Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Apricot Lemonade’ is unique and ravishingly lovely.

Unique soft apricot and delicate pink shades

‘Apricot Lemonade’ has softest pale apricot discs, flashing a white halo in the centre, and soft lemon and pink blushes to the backs and centres of the petals.
It is a constantly changing blends  of lovely, warm but refined colours..
There is no other Cosmos like it with such delicate and mutating colour shades.

Prolific long bloomer

Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Apricot Lemonade’ is long & constant blooming through summer & autumn.
So it is rated as a superb, commercial quality cut flower, as well as giving a splendid garden display for months on end till winter.
While pretty ferny foliage also adds to the lacy, gentle effect.

Brilliant new breeding

‘Apricot Lemonade’ is a very recent release, and newly bred especially for commercial cut flower production plus hardy, easy, quick growth.
A breeding triumph by the long established firm of Thompson and Morgan.
It is a dream for florists and flower farmers.

Hardy & easy to grow

Newly bred Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Apricot Lemonade’ is one of the most compact of  Cosmos.
So it is very easy to place in the garden, as well as being self supporting with strong stems.
And it is a wonderfully productive bloomer, adding to both its commercial value as a cut flower, and garden display.
It is a stunner planted amongst yellow, apricot, white or deep red roses, and a wonderful addition to any flower or florist’s cutting garden.

Quick to bloom after sowing

Plant in Full Sun, though it can also tolerate a little Part Shade, particularly in hot areas.
It is a water-wise, heat & dry hardy grower, and quick and easy to raise from seed.
So it will be happily blooming 2-3 months after sowing.
Plus ‘Apricot Lemonade’ is a tough, easy, low maintenance annual which self-seeds reliably in the garden each year once started.

SEED SOWING ADVICE: QUICK & EASY

Suitable for beginners & gardening with kids

Sow any time of year indoors / or scatter directly in the garden in spring & early summer.
Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Cupcakes White’ is fast from seed to flower.

Sow indoors for quick & early plants: First sow the seed in a punnet on surface of good quality seed raising mix.
Then cover the seed to a depth of approx. 6mm.

Now stand the sown punnet in a shallow water bath and allow the moisture to percolate up to the surface of the mix from below.

Drain, then place the moist punnet in a warm, well-lit position position (but not in any direct sunlight).
Covering with a clear plastic lid will help keep the surface consistently moist.

Continue to keep the sown punnet moist.

Temperatures of 20-25°C are best for rapid and optimum germination.

Seedlings emerge in approx. 14-21 days.
